Spring?

This is a picture of the sunset from our kitchen deck. The sunsets here are amazing, so I am going to have a lot of these pictures!

Well, they say it's Spring in Montana, but I am not convinced. It's April and it's still snowing. I have never had snow on Easter before, but we saw a lot of it this past Sunday! It has all melted now, but it snowed again today twice. The sun is out and it is getting warmer, but I am used to flip flops and short sleeves by this time! I keep hearing "it's really pretty here in the summer!" so I am waiting for those 2 months to appear. The grass is beginning to turn green, so that is a good sign! This is a picture of the deck on Saturday, the day before Easter!

I have been working in the kitchen at one of the elementary schools in Belgrade (which is a town 5 minutes away) for the past 2 weeks. It has been interesting, but the hours are crazy- 6:30am until 1:30pm! Who knew that you had to get up that early to feed the kids breakfast! I know you all have lunch lady jokes right now, but you can go ahead and keep them to yourselves...no hairnets and orthopedic shoes over here!

Jasmine is coming to visit us on Saturday and she will be here for a week! We are excited for her to come visit and we have lots of fun things planned. We are going to see the Globetrotters and also make a trip down to West Yellowstone. It should be a really fun week, and I know Craig is super excited to see her.

Scout has made a new friend. I let her out the other day to do her business and she ran over to our neighbor's house and was jumping around and acting like a huge spaz...over a cute little black kitty! She didn't know what it was. It was really cold outside and snowing, so I went over to their porch and saw that they had some food and water out, so I knew the kitty belonged to them. Since they weren't home, I brought the kitty in our house for a while downstairs and let she and Scout play. It was so funny to watch Scout try and figure out what this strange looking dog thing was! The kitty is really sweet, and she likes to hide under our deck, so we see her frequently. Charlie said he brought her home to kill the gophers that are apparently going to invade our yards sometime soon. Scout and gophers should be an interesting thing to watch!
She has started this new way of sleeping in the evenings when we are watching TV. She shoves herself up against the couch and stretches out all along the side. It is so strange and we can't figure out how she is comfortable, but she is apparently very comfy!

Well, I will have lots of pictures next week when Jasmine comes to visit. We miss everyone and hope you are all doing well!
